Forcing drivers to spend a lot more money for standard advanced safety features.

The Honda Civic features a standard 5-inch screen and Apple CarPlay & Android Auto aren't available on every trim level.  Another feature that the Toyota Corolla has to offer that isn't available on the Honda Civic is Smart Key System. The Smart Key system lets you unlock, lock the doors and truck without digging for the key fob in your bag. The Smart Key also starts the Corolla too.

Price & Value

At the end of the day the biggest deciding factor for many drivers is the price. Which is just one more way that the Toyota Corolla hatchback outshines the Honda Civic. The Honda Civic hatchback has a starting price of $21,045. The Toyota Corolla hatchback starts at just under the Honda Civic, $20,910, but comes with ToyotaCare 2-year, 25,000-mile no cost maintenance plan with 24-hour roadside assistance. The Honda Civic doesn't offer anything similar. In additions to all of the reasons above as to why the Toyota Corolla is a superior hatchback than the Honda Civic, it is also a better buy.
